Vintage Twitter: Imagining Tweets From Historical Music Moments

By John Walaszek

Twitter is the most important creation of all time. No hyperbole. There are few things in life as important as getting these tweets off, and those things are food, water, and air.

However, there was once a time when new music would be released and only "critics" or "real journalists" had the ability to comment on it for the masses. This was an oppressive time in which the common hater was held down by society, and they were not able to have their voice heard. Dark, dark times. Can you imagine? A world where Iggy Azalea releases a new song and one isn't able to manually retweet it and add "TRASH" to it? I shudder at the thought.

Thankfully, with the help of science and very advanced technology, we were able to look back at some of the most important events in music history, and read the tweets from those exact moments. Here are some of the best.
