Listen to Toronto Rapper NUE's Frigid 'Iroquois' Mixtape
An impressive debut from another Toronto artist worth keeping an eye out for.

Toronto's NUE landed on our radar earlier this year with "Alaska," and one reference set the tone: "It's an 808s & Heartbreak kinda day." Stylistically, NUE doesn't have a lot in common with Kanye. There's plenty of melody, but his songs are tighter and less sprawling than anything from 808s. What NUE's debut mixtape Iroquois does have in common with Kanye's fourth studio album is the cold, clean, modern, moody feel throughout.
