Listen to Grace Mitchell's Catchy, Grungy "Kids (Ain't All Right)"
This is 19-year-old Portland artist Grace Mitchell at her loudest.
We first wrote about Grace Mitchell in 2014, when she was 16 years old. The song was "Broken Over You," and it was a beautifully written pop song. Since then, Grace has shown versatility, but "Kids (Ain't All Right)" is her loudest, grungiest yet. It's angst-ridden, shamelessly pop-leaning rock that would make the '90s jealous, and Grace's songwriting is perfect for this vibe.
On the video, Grace tells us that it's "a commemoration of 1970s punk rock, and a visual homage to its influence in the contemporary age of art, fashion, and music based on the socio-political climate of that era and its parallels to the modern age."
Check out the "Kids (Ain't All Right)" video above, and look out for Grace's full-length debut this year.
