Is This The Year We Get An Andre 3000 Solo Album?
André 3000 said he’s “always recording,” but even though 2016 was filled with guest features, we haven’t heard any solo songs. With his Outkast partner Big Boi finishing another album and in-studio pictures with Kaytranada appearing online, it’s time to give André a nudge.
André 3000 blessed us with so many amazing guest features in 2016. So could 2017 be the year we finally get a solo album? Yes. Emphasis on could, but he's been working—this image of André and Kaytranada sent our hearts ablaze when it popped up in late 2016, and his recent preference to go by André Benjamin could signal a new chapter. One which includes a solo album.
Is this all conjecture? Absolutely. Are we screaming into the void? Maybe. But I had a dream a couple of weeks back that André saw this video and was convinced by Jinx's heartfelt, airtight argument, and drops an album the next day, so we're running with it.
