Holding wads of cash to his face while new music blared from studio speakers behind him, Lil Yachty hinted that his debut studio album might be arriving sooner rather than later with an "#albumontheway" caption on Instagram Monday afternoon.
Clearly unphased by any of the inevitable controversies or beefs that tend to attach themselves to young rappers who see quick success like Yachty has, he looks to build on the success of his Lil Boat and Summer Songs 2 mixtapes—and his inescapable double platinum collaboration with D.R.A.M. As he throws hundred dollar bills around the room while lines like "high school she treated me like Steve Urkel" play in the background, we get a hint at some of the album's possible rags-to-riches themes.
