The idea of “owning” music is making less sense every day and streaming figures have become a better gauge of the actual relevancy of artists than arguably any other metric available to us. With that said, it’s no surprise that Drake finds himself in the position of being most streamed artist of 2016 so far.

Compiled by Hits Daily Double, the list ranks the 30 artists with the most streams through the first five months of the year. Followed by Drake (with an incredible 1.44 billion streams) to round out the top 5 is Rihanna, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, and Beyonce. Drake impressively makes another appearance on the list at number 11 as “Drake and Future” for their collaborative What A Time To Be Alive mixtape.

HDD also broke the streaming figures out into a marketshare scorecard that ranked the top 10 record labels against each other. Republic came out on top with 16.35% of total streams, followed by Columbia (11.52%), Interscope (9.60%), Def Jam (9.35%), and RCA (8.77%). The full lists for both categories can be found below.
