LA-based duo Noir Disco consists of brothers Nolan Trotter and Carter Dickson. Their debut EP Love Me is a modern psychedelic trip that’s reminiscent of Tame Impala or The Flaming Lips with hints of The Strokes. The EP is led by the single Escapade. The brothers began writing the song after feeling deeply inspired from Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
Speaking to us on the record, Dickson stated, “We felt King Theoden is an archetype for society's misrepresentation of an unhappy man. Nolan speaks from Aragorn’s point of view while I retort as a disgruntled King Theoden.” Nolan Trotter says, “King Theoden is an underrated character, We felt he deserved a better story."
