KAMAU Revisits Tougher Times In His New Video For "Mint"
"I was able to quickly see, without filter, who was genuinely interested in getting to know me."
KAMAU had quite the year in 2016. Aside from killing both the theme song for our P&P Updates and our November No Ceilings show in London, the D.C native also released a magnificent EP A Gorgeous Fortune.
KAMAU has a very unique sound, it's not too easy to describe but one thing that you can definitely feel is raw and honesty throughout his records. "Mint" is a perfect example of that as he connects with Talibah Safiya and the two deliver a solid, soulful offering.
Shot in the empty streets of Brooklyn, the two artists are in love and Homeless. They have nothing but each other but through their laughter, dancing and their sense of connection, KAMAU and Talibah Safiya learn and display how important it is for love to be at the foundation of any partnership before any other material or worldly possessions get involved.
