Check out 'DMV," A Documentary Highlighting The Area's Buzzing Rap Scene

The DMV has always been a pivotal region in hip hop and right now between the area's bigger names like D.R.A.M. getting nominated for a Grammy and rising artists like Jay IDK and Innanet James making waves for themselves, the area is gearing up to have a big moment.

Through interviews with the rising artists and figures in the local industry, DMV draws parallels between seemingly disconnected movements, highlighting the importance of collaboration in order to once and for all put DC, Maryland and Virginia on the map.

Talking to the team about the documentary, we were told, “We put this project together back in August as a way of offering a first look into the rap scene here in the DMV. We wanted to highlight some up and coming artists and help them tell a story about the area that has produced them.”
