Video: Young Fathers - "Shame"

Scottish experimentalists Young Fathers released their latest album earlier this week, and with it came a considerable change in sound. White Men Are Black Men Too shows that the trio are more than capable of moving themselves in different directions on a whim, making music that is just as accessible as it is challenging. The first single from the record, “Shame,” has received a Jeremy Cole-directed video that makes note of this notion.

Starring an aggressive and bloodied teen, the video shows the character slowly moving from an intimidating swagger, to a determined sprint and an impassioned flurry of dance-like moves. It’s just as intense as the track itself, defying expectations with its final moments. Watch the video above, and purchase White Men Are Black Men Too via iTunes here.
