Tunji Ige has teamed up with rising stars Michael Christmas and iLoveMakonnen for a remix of “Day2Day.” The Tunji-produced beat provides a spaced-out canvas for all three rappers to provide their own approach, made all the more impressive in the way it doesn’t juxtapose their three distinct styles. Christmas offers a sleepily smooth verse that weaves between the minimal beat with ease, Tunji provides a sing-rap approach that works wonders, while iLoveMakonnen subverts things in the way we’ve come to expect from him now. It’s the type of team-up that begs for repeat listens.
