Meishi Smile’s vivid debut album Lust impressed us earlier this year with its colorful synths and buoyant beats. “Star,” the latest single from the Maltine-signed producer, is just as vibrant, and serves as a wonderful reminder of what Meishi is capable of. Beginning simply with twinkling melodies before turning around and introducing a more ecstatically produced bombast of joyous sound, this is Meishi Smile at his best.
