Lil Wayne’s issues involving the release of Tha Carter V seemingly never end, but it looks like he’s hoping to change that very soon. After ranting about constant delays in a series of tweets in which he said “I want off this label and nothing to do with these people,” TMZ reports that Wayne has decided to take Birdman to court. Wayne will reportedly ask a judge to free him from Cash Money, relinquishing Birdman’s control of Wayne, with claims that Birdman violated their contract by refusing to release the album.
It’s also reported that Lil Wayne is hoping to get the $8 million dollars advance that he claims that Birdman owes him. The news comes not too long after the release of Sorry 4 The Wait 2, which was released to hold fans over as they wait for Tha Carter V. No official statement from either involved as of yet, but expect to hear a confirmation of what’s actually going on in due time.
