Andrew Bird is readying a new album titled Are You Serious for release on April 1, and he’s bagged a pretty huge guest for its latest single. “Left Hand Kisses” features Fiona Apple joining Bird for a soft duet that makes a lot of use of its spacious sound. With each of the singers playing off of each other, Fiona acts as Bird’s counterpoint on the song. Bird said of the song in a press release, “The song first began as an internal dialogue. At first it was just my voice. Then another voice came creeping in and I thought ‘this should be a duet if I can find the right person.'”
