Some time last year HBO released an official Game of Thrones themed mixtape, and it looks like they’ll be doing the same this year to coincide with promotions for the upcoming fifth season of the hit fantasy show. Titled Catch The Throne: Volume II, the second official Game of Thrones mixtape is set to include Estelle, Method Man, Snoop Dogg, Talib Kweli, and Ty Dolla $ign among others. The mixtape looks to be taking a wider approach in regards to genres this time, too, with Anthrax and Mastodon on board for a track each as well.
Each song on the mixtape will sample the score from the fourth season of the show. The mixtape will be released via Soundcloud and free download March 17, just ahead of the fifth season premiere on April 12. Listen to Talib Kweli’s contribution, “Lord of the Light,” below.
