After raising a crazy amount of money for their Kickstarter-funded albumAnd The Anonymous Nobody, De La Soul have announced that the album will feature even more guests than originally planned. Usher, Pete Rock, Roc Marciano, Snoop Dogg, and Estelle were recently announced to be featured on the upcoming album in an update on their Kickstarter page. The album is still on-track to release sometime this year, but that could very well change.

The recently announced guests will be joining the likes of David Byrne, 2 Chainz, Little Dragon, and Damon Albarn. The album sounds like it’s absolutely packed in the best way possible, making their triumphant return later this year all the more exciting. “The work to complete this album has increased, but progress is still in forward motion,” the trio writes in their latest update on Kickstarter.

The trio originally said back in July that they were in the home-stretch of completing the recording portion of the album process, but as it’s grown it scope it seems we might just have a little longer to wait for the finished product, but from the sounds of things it will be worth it. The update also includes an interview with Bob Power, who is the engineer on the upcoming album, and has worked with De La Soul in the past.

Watch the brief interview with Bob Power over on their Kickstarter here, and also be sure to check out their upcoming tour dates here.
