1.

2014 is wrapping up and it’s a time of reflection. Twitter is also looking back on the year and analyzing its data. The reports are out, showing that the most tweeted-about genres are, in order, hip hop/rap, r&b, country, EDM, and electronic rock. Pharrell earned the slot for the most-tweeted about song with “Happy.” John Legend‘s “All of Me” and Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” danced right behind the tune about clapping hands and rooms without roofs.

Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga and Britney Spears round out the most-followed artists on Twitter. The most tweeted-about music festivals list features Coachella at the top, followed by Tomorrow World and Warped Tour. Oh, and the most tweeted-about award shows? MTV EMAs, The GRAMMYs and the MTV VMAs earned those spots. Check the gallery for more of Twitter’s year-end lists, including the most tweeted-about albums, fan armies, and music related trends.
