Earlier this evening, Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar joined forces to deliver a scorching rendition of “Freedom,” kicking off tonight’s BET Awards in grand fashion.
The beloved Lemonade collaboration calls for a compelling set, and that’s just what television audiences and online viewers received. Knowles brought the Formation Tour wading pool and a bevy of backup dancers to supplement her vocal flexes, in itself impressive enough for tomorrow’s water cooler conversations. But good is never good enough for the superstar singer.
Cornrow Kenny came through to hammer home the broadcast, supplying new additions to his verse and matching Beyoncé’s ferocious energy with his own. Watch the full performance below, and stay tuned for more footage as the night progresses.
