In September of 2015, Travis Scott released his debut album Rodeo to rave reviews. Almost a year later, the album is still creating waves and its lead single “Antidote” has yet to fully fade out. But Scott seems very eager to move forward. So eager in fact, that he’s already began to make announcements about his third album although his second album has yet to be released.
Last month we heard a preview of a new collaboration between Travis Scott and Young Thug, but Scott has yet to officially release a first single for his upcoming sophomore album Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight. He’s currently busy touring with Rihanna on her ANTI Tour, so it seems understandable that he isn’t quite in album mode as yet. But, those minor details aren’t stopping him from planning steps ahead.
During a recent stop on the ANTI Tour, Scott announced the title of his third album to the crowd. In a short clip he can be heard saying, “The name of my new album, after Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight is now called ASTROWORLD.” Hopefully a new single will soon follow this announcement.
