Prince Finally Unblocks Footage of His Radiohead "Creep" Cover from Coachella 2008

After learning Prince blocked live footage Thom Yorke responded, "Well, tell him to unblock it. It's our ... song."

Prince has never really seemed to fond of the internet, but every once in a while he shows signs that he’s warming up the concept—since it’s clear now that the internet is unavoidable. By now, many people are aware that YouTube videos containing any Prince music will be taken down very swiftly. Because of that reality, those who weren’t able to attend Coachella in 2008 only got to hear rumors of how great Prince’s cover of Radiohead’s “Creep” was, until now.

According to NME, when Thom Yorke learned that Prince had blocked footage of his performance he simply responded, “Well, tell him to unblock it. It’s our … song.” The video was uploaded with the message, “Copyright reserved to RADIOHEAD, the original authors of this song, who have granted me permission to upload this video through the above remarks.” As a result, the live footage has now made its return to the internet for all to enjoy.

Prince shared a link to the performance via Twitter this morning.
