This year Chicago-based producer oddCouple has been lending his production talents to some of our favorite newcomers—producing Kweku Collins'"Death of a Salesman,"Joey Purp's"Morning Sex," and executive producing Jamila Woods' debut album HEAVN. However, he's ready to release some new music of his own this coming fall. Today he shares the first single from his forthcoming solo project.

As oddCouple prepares for the release of his new project Liberation, he recruits Mick Jenkins and WebsterX for the first single. Jenkins and WebsterX notably have very different styles, but oddCouple's production works to fit both of them perfectly. "Blinded" opens up with a beat that builds up to match WebsterX's own energetic delivery. Soon the beat smoothly transitions into a slower rhythm to seamlessly blend into Jenkins' more relaxed tone.
