Back in May, MIYNT impressed us with a gloomy rework of Britney Spears’ sugary sweet hit single “Baby One More Time.” Her stripped-down version brought an entirely new and darker perspective to a mega hit that would have never been considered a depressing song beforehand.
MIYNT recently made her return with her latest single “Civil War.” Unlike her previous cover, this new song isn’t nearly as somber. The prominent drums within the production combined with a fairly cute way of delivering dark lyrics take “Civil War” to heights that her previous work had yet to reach—proving that there are many more sides to MIYNT than some may have originally assumed.
