Watch James Blake Perform Songs From 'The Colour In Anything' For The First Time

James Blake has begun performing his new album during live shows.

It’s been a little over a week since James Blake released his latest album The Colour In Anything. However, it appears that Blake is already eager to bring these new songs to life. Last night, during a performance at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles, Blake treated fans to a special treat.

On Monday evening, Blake performed a few select cuts from his new album to a lucky crowd. According to Pitchforkhe delivered a performance of the title track, “Timeless,” as well as “Modern Soul.”

It’s been three years since Blake released his sophomore studio album Overgrown, and just as long since he’s gone a full tour. The fan-shot footage from last night proves that he hasn’t lost a step, and that his fans are more than ready to see him perform the new album on an upcoming tour. As of right now, his official website only shows dates for three separate shows in L.A., New York, and London, but hopefully an announcement of a full tour is on its way.

James Blake also invited Moses Sumney and Connan Mockasin to join him during his set. Watch footage of those performances below.
