Is a Drake/Craig David Collaborative Mixtape on the Way?

Craig David hints at a future collaboration with Drake.

None

Craig David has been making his way back onto the music scene recently. Last month he shared his latest collaboration, “When The Bassline Drops” with Big Narstie. However, during a recent interview on 1Xtra, the singer hinted at another possible collaboration.

During the interview, Craig explained the recent run-in he had with Drake in Miami (at 9:40 mark) and spoke on the rumors about a collaboration between the two. “When I saw Drake in this restaurant we walked up to each other and there was this moment when I was like, ‘Oh man that tune is all I’m listening to,'” Craig explained. “And he was like, ‘Man I need to call my producer, if I can tell him right now that I’m with you, ‘Born To Do It’! The tunes you have.’ And this was kicking off.”

He went on to explain, “When the time is right, when it’s really right, and there’s the Craig David/Drake mixtape, I promise you, not on a ‘get gas, beg a man to be on his record’ kind of thing, because he’s the hottest thing right now. But he’d easily be like, ‘Yeah man I want to do that.'”  To be clear, it’s far too early to tell if this will happen anytime soon (or at all), but the thought alone is enough to excite plenty of fans.
