Before watching Jorja Smith's Tiny Desk concert, I'd never seen her perform in a live setting and was hoping she'd be able to live up to the excellent recordings found on her freshly-released debut album Lost & Found. Yep. Performing a short three-song set in NPR's intimate setting, Jorja and her band fill the room with warm, jazzy sounds and charisma that jumps off the screen.
The whole performance is a must-watch, but the moment at 10:25 where everything breaks down and Jorja rattles off a flawless final verse on "Blue Lights" is pretty incredible. Don't click out of this until you get to that point.
