The British rapper has a new Nike shoe on the way, but the music isn't slowing down.

With a new Nike sneaker collaboration dropping on May 19 and his Homecoming events in Nigeria earlier this year, Skepta has a lot on his plate right now, but the music keeps coming. Just last week Skepta and the Boy Better Know crew (JME, Shorty, Jammer, Frisco, and Wiley) released a track featuring the whole crew called "Athlete," and last night Skepta dropped a solo track, "Pure Water."

It's been over two years since Skepta's Konnichiwa album, and although there was the Vicious EP at the end of 2017, hopefully 2018 will bring another full length from the British rapper. Skepta certainly laid much of the groundwork for artists like Stormzy and Dave to reach new audiences in America, and it seems as if the general listening population is more open-minded to international sounds than ever.

This building process and cultural dialog is something Skepta touched on back in 2015 when we interviewed him in New York, so listen to the new song and then watch the short video profile below.
