Two and a half years after dropping her first song "Blue Lights" here on P&P back in January of 2016, Jorja Smith is finally preparing to drop her debut album. She recently announced that the 12-song project, Lost & Found, will be arriving on June 8. Today, she's unveiled the project's latest single, "February 3rd," and it's another stunning release from the British singer.

Speaking with Exclaim, Smith explained that Lost & Found has been three years in the making and she felt now was the perfect time to release it after buzz has built from things like her Brit Award and More Life appearance. "It was never like, 'Okay, I'm going to take three years to create an album,'" she said. "I just write songs. As much as I love plans and stuff, when it comes to music — same as how I do my EP — they just happened. I made them, and then I was like, 'I want to put out an EP,' 'Oh, these songs will go well together, so I'm going to put them together.' That's what happened with the album, it just came to a point where I thought, 'I think this year is a good year to put out an album, because people are watching me.'"
