Brooklyn native GASHI has had an incredible run the past year. His hit "Disrespectful" raked up millions of plays and since then he's done everything from sign to Roc Nation and link up with Jay-Z to flying across the world having writing sessions with Rihanna

Amidst all of the new fame and glamour, GASHI decided to tap into his rough past with his most recent single "Blame It On The Bag." The Brooklyn MC was a childhood refugee and up until the literal day before he signed his management deal with Roc Nation, he was a worked as a super and cleaned the apartment building that he and his family lived in. With the new single and video, before GASHI basks in the glory of his newfound fortune, he took viewers back to the times where things weren't as sweet and begins the video with footage from his last day on the job back in NYC.

Check out the video at the top of the page and keep scrolling to see GASHI talk about his childhood, how he would never get a face tattoo (which wasn't true!) and more during his episode of Trending Topics below.
