Lil Yachty and rising star Yung Bans are two of Atlanta's most eccentric, singular rappers, so it's no surprise that they have ample chemistry in the booth. The pair released a surprise track, "Different Colors," on March 12, and it's an intoxicating mix of hazy, glacial production and hushed, understated bars. According to Bans on Twitter, the track was on the verge of being leaked so they simply opted to drop it themselves.

Aye @lilyachty.. some dickhead has our song and is tryna leak it.. you think we should drop it first??

A circular piano line from producer MexikoDro sets the stage, while Bans and Yachty detail their wild lifestyles in muted tones that imply complete nonchalance. "Different Colors" isn't as melodic as some of their respective solo work, but there are plenty of subtle refrains that will surely stick in your head after a few listens.

Bans and Yachty previously linked for the cloudy car ode "Jeff Gordon" last December. They've both had productive starts to 2018, with the former releasing Yung Bans Vol. 3 in late January, while Yachty's Lil Boat 2 came out on March 9. Neither has shown signs of slowing down, as Bans recently hopped on SG Tip's "Push Up" alongside Smokepurpp and Yachty still has his Glacier Boyz project with Gucci Mane and Migos on the horizon.

Give "Different Colors" a spin above and watch our Trending Topics video where Bans discusses the importance of music with substance, wanting to work with DJ Mustard, and how weird kids are the real trendsetters.
