Tame Impala has kept a low profile since releasing 2015's mesmerizing Currents, but band leader Kevin Parker has been expanding his production repertoire, working with artists like Miguel and Lady Gaga and bringing his signature kaleidoscopic sound into different genre spaces. Now, Parker is teaming with house producer Zhu for "My Life," a springy single that's held aloft by bright synths and Zhu's penchant for infectious, clean percussion.

Though there's a hypnotic thump to "My Life," it wouldn't be a Parker track without some acoustic instrumentation. The saxophone introduced midway through adds some heft and reedy texture that plays well against the sleek synths. The song is an excellent groove, but we still can't wait for Parker's collaborations with SZA and Mark Ronson to see the light of day. The trio reportedly have three songs already finished. Zhu has previously worked with artists like Goldlink, AlunaGeorge, and THEY. He dropped the Stardustexhalemarrakechdreams EP in August 2017 and has an album titled Mind of a Genius due out in May.
