Busy producing for pop and hip-hop artists as well as working on side projects like Major Lazer and Jack Ü (and running a successful record label), Diplo hasn't had the time to drop a solo project in five years. Hist last solo effort came in 2013 with his Revolution EP. That changes today with the release of a new EP called California.
The 6-song project finds the producer in a hip-hop mindset as he collaborates with rappers like Lil Yachty, Desiigner, DRAM, Trippie Redd, Lil Xan, and GoldLink. But he pulls each of them in melodic directions throughout a sonically-diverse project that also features vocals from Santigold and MØ.
