At midnight on Monday, Dreamville rapper Cozz is releasing an album called Effected, featuring Kendrick Lamar, J. ColeCurren$y, and more. Before the project arrives, Dreamville has released a 10-minute mini documentary that outlines his rise from a neighborhood in South Central to the rapper we know today. Featuring interviews with his friends and family, the Darius Tubrak-directed film gives us an intimate look at Cozz's backstory.

"When I made this project, I wasn't thinking about nobody else," he says at the end of the video, speaking on the Effected project. "I wasn't listening to nobody else. I was just competing against myself. I'm pushing myself more than I've pushed myself at anything. So I think this album is the best Cozz to date."

Cozz has already shared four excellent singles from the album since January, as well as a music video for "Questions." You can watch that below and check back here for the album when it drops at midnight.
