Michigan producer Tadd Mullinix has been making music for years, but after two hip-hop albums under the name Dabrye for Ghostly International (2001's One/Three and 2006 follow-up Two/Three), he started exploring other genres under other names. The Dabrye moniker returns in 2018 on Three/Three, an album out February 16 featuring DOOM, Danny Brown, Ghostface Killah, Roc Marciano, and many more.

"Lil Mufukuz" follows lead single "The Appetite," featuring Danny Brown, Roc Marciano, and Quelle Chris, and it bumps. DOOM goes in over the haunting beat, the two artists making a fitting follow-up to their 2006 collaboration "Air." DOOM's storytelling and imagery is second to none, as he imagines the competition as children, and puts them in their place.

On how the track came together, Mullinix told The FADER, "On top of the legend blessing the beat, I was so pleased when he brought his brilliant narrative in direct response to the sample. As a producer, it can be intimidating working with a beatmaker of DOOM's caliber."
