ASAP Rocky Wipes Instagram Clean, Shares Mysterious New Snippet

Is Rocky finally about to drop a new album?

ASAP Rocky appears to be ramping up to a rollout for his next album.

In a move that has often meant an artist is about to release new material, Rocky deleted everything from his Instagram pageĀ on Friday. In its place, he uploaded a new photo (seen above) with the same black and white color scheme as we've seen from Rocky lately as he teases a project rumored to be called, Testing. The photo includes a caption that reads: "REVIVAL."

Rocky also shared a new, mysterious snippet on Instagram stories with the caption, "2001?" You can see that on his Instagram page here or via fan account asaprockytings below.

This comes a day after he shared two other snippets on Instagram stories. You can see both of those below.

Back in October, Rocky hinted at the direction of his new album when he told GQ that it would be an experimental album and explained, "'I don't just rap, I actually make music."

"My new album is really about testing new sounds," he said. "People are scared to test new sounds, so they go with what's current 'cause it's the easy thing to do. The top 100 songs sound a certain way. People cater more to that because it's a bigger demographic behind that, or it's a guaranteed demographic behind that. I prefer to experiment and have my crowd grow with me and to reach new crowds."

The new album will be his first sinceĀ AT.LONG.LAST.A$APĀ in 2015.
