The Cool Kids Turn Back the Clocks In Retro Video for "9:15PM" With Jeremih

"Breaking out our Soul Train gear, calling up Jeremih, and creating the video to match the vibe [of "9:15PM"] was a no-brainer."

One of our favorite songs on The Cool Kids' new album, Special Edition Grandmaster Deluxe, is a funky, soulful cut called "9:15PM" featuring Jeremih, tucked right in the middle of the 16-song tracklist. So we're happy to see it get a beautiful set of '70s-inspired visuals directed by Verluxe.

"When deciding what track to make into a video we thought about which one our fans would feel the most when they are getting ready to go out on the weekend," The Cool Kids explain to P&P.

Complete with throwback outfits and shag carpets, The Cool Kids transport themselves back a few decades, matching the song's vintage energy.

"'9:15PM' pays homage to the soul bounce jams of the 70s that all our parents got down and dirty to, so of course breaking out our Soul Train gear, calling up Jeremih, and creating the video to match the vibe was a no-brainer," they add. "We wanna give a special shout out to Verluxe for making our vision into a reality."
