Jessie Reyez Drops Gorgeous Song About Heartbreak "Cotton Candy"

"Messed up over the same heart break where 'Figures' came from. A mic, a laptop and loner."

This year, Jessie Reyez has been pulling out a secret weapon at her live shows: a powerful song about heartbreak called "Cotton Candy."

Now, she's finally shared a studio version of the song, and it lives up to the intensity she was able to create in a live setting. On Twitter, she revealed that the song was born in the same era as her similarly emotional breakout single, "Figures." Jessie explained the song was created "in my living room over a year ago. Messed up over the same heart break where 'Figures' came from. A mic, a laptop and loner."
