Brockhampton Explain Their 'Last Studio Album' Statement

Brockhampton sat down with Zane Lowe and cleared up confusion about 'Saturation III' being their final album.

On December 1, Brockhampton's Twitter account shared a photo that revealed the release date for Saturation III. Included in the image was a subtitle that read: "The last studio album by Brockhampton."

This caused panic among their fans, of course, but most of us know by now that Kevin Abstract likes to troll lie to his fans.

For anyone left with doubt, the group stopped by Apple Music's Beats 1 studios and spoke with Zane Lowe for an interview that will drop alongside a new song on Wednesday morning. Apple shared a short clip from the conversation (seen above), in which Abstract and the rest of the group clears up the confusion.

"It's funny, because we make all of our albums at our house," Abstract laughed, pointing out the fact that none of these Saturation projects are technically "studio albums."

"Doesn't it make it way more epic, though?" Abstract added. "Like, Saturation III: The last studio album by Brockhampton. It seems like more of a moment than just it's the end of the trilogy—or end of the era. Even though everybody knows it's not really our last album."

At the end of the clip, he left the door open to all possibilities, saying, "If this was the last one, I'd be really happy. But it also feels like we have more to say. So I don't think it's the last one. But at the same time, we do whatever we want in the moment. So, we might be like, 'Hey, we're off it. Let's just do this last tour. That was fun.'"

You can watch the interview clip above and look out for "STAINS" to drop, alongside the full conversation Thursday morning. Continue for a full breakdown of each member of the group.
