"It was my first time listening to music other than hip-hop. It just opened my palette into understanding what music was and how it was made. That album introduced me to what heartbreak meant and what it felt like. I think, over time, I've learned how to express my feelings much more and grown to become a lover rather than a fighter because of this album. Every day in middle school my mom would drop me off to school after her graveyard shift and blast 'Waiting On The World To Change.' Every time I hear that song now, I can close my eyes and feel like I'm 12 and my mother is right next to me. It’s insane how a song can just make you want to cry just because it reminds you of an easier time. But yeah, Continuum changed my life and I don't want to cry right now so bye."
