Production duo Take a Daytrip has a studio in New York City, and artists from all over the country are constantly passing through when they're in town. One of those visitors was a friend who introduced Daytrip to another friend, a 21-year-old artist from Detroit named Sam Austins. Daytrip and Sam clicked immediately, and "FIJI" was the first thing they made together.

Sam Austins' dad is in the Four Tops, taught him to play an MPC at three years old, and kicked him out of the house by 18. That same year Sam dropped his first SoundCloud project, GOAT, and has been put on bills with Playboi Carti, Vince Staples, and Juicy J. He didn’t release solo work again until earlier this summer, when he dropped "FIJI.” Today we've got the slightly strange and very entertaining music video for "FIJI." Watch above, and look out for Sam Austins.
