Night Lovell

Ottawa rapper Night Lovell has been relatively quiet so far this year, at least when it comes to new material. Appearing on only a small handful of tracks and putting out only one track himself, he's been busy performing on his biggest tour so far. It looks like he's been putting on one hell of a show, too, particularly at Ottawa's own Bluesfest. Thankfully, though, he's returned today with the long-teased "RIP Trust."

Produced by frequent collaborator Blank Body with additional production from Lovell himself, "RIP Trust" sounds absolutely colossal. These two make for a brilliant pairing, having previously proved this with a number of tracks on Lovell's last full-length release, Red Teenage Melody. But here, their chemistry seems renewed, with the snarling atmospherics tailor-made for Lovell's signature cadence.

No word on whether this is from an upcoming album or mixtape yet, but hopefully we won't have to wait too long to hear more from Lovell. Listen to "RIP Trust" below.
