Zoom Lens has been killing it this year, showcasing just how strong their roster really is. The recent release they put out from Yeule is a brilliant example of this, and the new single from label mainstay LLLL is another. "For F" sees LLLL recruiting Calendula and Meishi Smile for vocal duties, and the resulting track is one of his most euphoric to date. The Tokyo-based producer provides a colorful pallette of sounds for the track, taking inspiration from the 1981 film Christiane F.

The film depicts the titular teenager Christiane as she discovers drugs and music in West Berlin during the '70s, and "For F" mimics its unique combination of dreamlike wonder and overwhelming chaos. The lyrics were penned unbeknownst to this inspiration, but regardless the words work beautifully with the sounds they accompany.

Released as part of LLLL's 12-month long Chains project, a project that sees a new song from LLLL every month released with a new piece from a visual artist, "For F" is accompanied with a new piece by Abi Laurel and Brenden Savi, reflecting "For F" perfectly. LLLL will be releasing the fourth Chains EP this December, with a retrospective album of the project to follow next year.
