Last year at SXSW, KAMAU and his brother Nkō Khélí came through our front yard in Austin and impressed us with a freestyle that paired high energy bars with a soulful flair.

Today, the duo are back again as KAMAU previews his new EP, The KAMAU-CASSETTE: ŭRTH GōLD, before it arrives on September 12. The song's politically-charged message is accompanied by powerful monochromatic visuals directed by Carlyle Smith.

"This is the song of the modern Sisyphus," KAMAU explains. "In the video we see two characters, trapped in a situation where the very nature of their work is cyclical and infinite. One worker digs a hole in sand/time, the other fills it with sand/time."

Watch the video above and see the two trade bars in our front yard at SXSW 2017 below. And, if you missed it, be sure to check out KAMAU's interpretation of "Mask Off" by Future here.
