The first of three installments of Maryland rapper IDK's adventurous IWASVERYBAD project has arrived.Â
Each track represents an episode in IDK's life story—ranging from growing up in Maryland to serving time in jail—and the first three songs run through his early years (with a little help from Swizz Beatz, Yung Gleesh, MF DOOM, and Del The Funky Homosapien).
As we've come to expect from the artist formerly known as Jay IDK, these songs marry clever wordplay and razor-sharp storytelling skills with hard-hitting production. It's the kind of rap music that'll appeal just as much to people looking for great lyrics and songwriting as it will to those hoping to vibe out to great sounds. He's a double threat.
