It's only been like two months since we last got a full-length from Brockhampton, but they're already back with the sequel. Better yet, they've promised this isn't the last we'll hear from them this year. With the announcement that Saturation II is the second album in a trilogy, Brockhampton have cemented their status as one of the hardest working groups in rap music right now.
Saturation II, just like the first, lives up to the immense promise of the singles. In fact, Saturation II might be even better than the first album. Things get a little weirder at times, but as we've come to expect with Brockhampton, they pull it off swimmingly. Featuring more appearances from Bearface, who was notably absent outside of the first album's final track, Saturation II sees more of the group flaunting their talents than even the original did. There's no date for Saturation III yet, but knowing how fast these guys work, it shouldn't be all that long until we hear from them again.
It's one thing to release one of the best albums of the year, but to release two of the best and aim for a threepeat just proves that these guys are some of the most ambitious artists around.
