When you think of the changing face of New York rap, names like A Boogie and Desiigner come to mind for their non-traditional approach to hip-hop, melodic verses, and the fact that they're more likely to cite an Atlantan as influence than a fellow New Yorker.

Phresher lies somewhere in between the two camps—his high-energy breakout hit "Wait A Minute" sounds tailor-made for some Desiigner ad-libs—but then Phresher got hip-hop legends on board. Remy Ma hopped on the remix, and Royce da 5'9" released his own version of the song.

Now Phresher is back with "Cookin," another fiery cut from the Brooklyn rapper. "You can cook at the trap, cook at the workplace, cooking at school, you can cook anywhere," Phresher says. "It's all about grinding and working hard." Listen to the premiere of "Cookin" above.
