Jay Z's "The Story of O.J." Video Is Now Available For Everyone

The politically-charged animated music video for "The Story of O.J." is now available on YouTube.

Outside of a short two hour window on Sunday afternoon when Tidal was offering free downloads for Jay Z's new album, 4:44, the project has been locked behind the streaming service's pay wall.

This afternoon, however, the music video for "The Story of O.J." was uploaded to Jay Z's YouTube account—becoming the first piece of the project to become available to the general public. A commentary on the history of racism in America, the vintage animated visuals reference racist cartoons from studios like Warner Bros and Disney, as they flesh out Jay's politically-charged message.

"'The Story of OJ' is really a song about we as a culture, having a plan, how we’re gonna push this forward," he told iHeartRadio about the song. “We all make money, and then we all lose money, as artists especially. But how, when you have some type of success, to transform that into something bigger."

Watch the video above and see what New Yorkers told us about the project right before it's release in the video below.
