After being fairly quiet for a few months, Kacy Hill made her return earlier this month with two brand new singles. The two tracks, titled "Like A Woman" and "Hard To Love," served as the first preview of her forthcoming debut album Like A Woman.
Hill has been on our radar since she was revealed as one of G.O.O.D. Music's newest signee's in 2015. Two years later, she's finally ready to follow-up her Bloo EP and deliver a proper introduction with a full-length debut. After sharing the first two tracks from her album, Hill now reveals that Like A Woman—due out June 30 via G.O.O.D. Music / Def Jam—will be executive produced by Kanye West.
It'll be interesting to see how West's vision and input will influence Hill's debut album. The album's DJ Mustard, Terrace Martin, and DJDS-produced title track "Like A Woman," already opens up a new space for the young singer to showcase a side of her artistry that veers in a slightly different direction that her breakout single "Foreign Fields." The full album is sure to display an intriguing range for the G.O.O.D. Music artist.
"Like A Woman is an exploration of my own femininity and sexuality," Hill explains about the theme of her debut album. "I want my audience to have a similar experience of their own while listening. My goal is not to make a statement, but make space for exploration without shame or guilt. I don't speak for all women. I speak for Kacy Hill."
