Last summer, producer Tim Suby paired up with Toronto newcomer Jessie Reyez for “k goodnight,” a bubbly anthem about ignoring emotions with a distracting night out. Today Suby returns with his second single “Tripping on Emotions”—another record that is just as bouncy as its predecessor.

For his newest release, Suby is joined by Dustin Atlas. Together, the two create a single that follows in the footsteps of “k goodnight.” For the opening lines of “Tripping on Emotions,” Dustin Atlas sings, “Can we end this cold war? / Silence is too much to ignore,” and continues to depict how emotions can get the best of us at times.

“The reaction to ‘k goodnight’ was honestly overwhelming and so greatly appreciated,” Tim Suby explains. “I just want to continue to put out music I like, it's a bonus when everyone else likes it too.” Though the single is focused on the internal battle one faces as they try to deal with their emotions, their pride, and other people’s feelings, Tim Suby provides a rhythm that forces listeners to dance those bad vibes away rather than sulk in it.
