"This song with GoldLink isn't a preview of what's to come," Mick Jenkins explained on Twitter before dropping his new Monte Booker and THEMpeople-produced song. "It's just some dope shit we did a while back."
We're not complaining. Whatever the circumstances, "Pressed For Time" is a pleasant surprise for fans of either Jenkins or GoldLink as each of them slide in nicely over skittering, pulsing production.
Jenkins also took the opportunity to update his fans on what he has planned in 2017:Â "My next album is fully in the works. It's different. I know y'all want that hard shit. Ima give it to you. I have two projects coming in 2017 actually."
These two go together so well they have us fantasizing about a full collaborative project (if Jenkins has time for a third project this year that is). For now, listen to "Pressed For Time" and check out the dates for Jenkins' freshly announced "Spread Love" tour below.
