It's been a while since we've heard from Fleet Foxes. The band has been famously quiet since following the release of their 2011 album Helplessness Blues, but now it looks as if the band are breaking the silence to release their first new music in six years. Due June 16 via Nonesuch, Crack-Up was recorded between July 2016 and January 2017. Fleet Foxes frontman Robin Pecknold wrote the album and produced the record with Skyler Skjelset, who is also in the band.

To coincide with the announcement of the long-anticipated album, the band has shared the first single with the almost nine minute long "Third of May / Ōdaigahara." The track features those signature vocals, while the instrumentation goes in a multitude of directions during its lengthy running time. Considering how long we've been waiting for new material from the band, this seems like a fitting return.

Look out for Crack-Up when it arrives on June 16, and listen to our first taste of the album below.
